Xeroderma Pigmentosum is a rare disease where the person is described as being photosensitive, or sensitive to UV light. The person also has premature skin aging and is prone to skin cancers. This is caused by a cellular hypersensitivity to ultraviolet (UV) light as a result of a defect in the DNA repair system.
